Workshop “Data Stewardship goes Germany 2025” at KIT

Call for contributions open until 12 May 2025 – Focus on practical aspects of research data management

The KIT Library is organizing the workshop “Data Stewardship goes Germany 2025” (DSgG 2025) in collaboration with FIZ Karlsruhe. The workshop will take place from 30 September to 1 October 2025 at KIT South Campus and will focus on the theme Data Stewardship in Day-to-Day Research Activities – Use Cases and Best Practices.

The emphasis will be on practical issues and processes in supporting research projects. Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Achieving data interoperability (e.g., through machine-readable formats, metadata),
  • The use of Electronic Laboratory Notebooks, repositories, and other tools in the areas of Research Data Management and Research Software Engineering,
  • Collaboration with the NFDI to create synergies and provide tools,
  • Ensuring the reproducibility of research data and results.

Abstracts for talks and posters can be submitted until 12 May 2025.

The DSgG workshop series is organized by the RDM Interest Group of the TU9 Alliance and brings together data stewards, data managers, data curators, and other professionals interested in Research Data Management and Research Software Engineering. This year, FIZ Karlsruhe – Leibniz Institute for Information Infrastructure is co-organizing the event.
