Making “Hydrogen Safety” Accessible: Creation and Launch of a new Diamond Open Access Journal
The new international journal “Hydrogen Safety” is now live and ready for article submission and reviewer registration. This journal is not only a pioneering publication channel in the field of hydrogen-safety researches, but it also serves as a model for scholar-led and scholar-owned scientific journals. The journal is funded and owned by the international scientific society HySafe.
As the journal would inspire many, we interviewed the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) and the Deputy EIC to learn more about their journey and experiences in starting the journal. The interview covers not only the launch announcement but also the background of the journal’s conceptualization, their views on the changing publication landscape, the importance of community support, and why safety-related researches should always be open access for the readers and free of Article Processing Charges (APC) for authors.
We truly enjoyed interviewing the editors and learned a lot in the process. We hope you have a similar experience watching it!
